What's the difference between a Master Routing and a Work Order?
A Master Routing is a template that defines the standard process for making a part - it includes all the operations, work centers, and materials needed. A Work Order is created from a Master Routing for a specific production run with a defined quantity and due date. Think of Master Routings as your recipes, and Work Orders as your actual production jobs.
Can I try ShopRouterPro before buying?
Yes! You can sign up for a free account that includes 3 master routings and 5 work orders. This lets you fully explore the features and see if ShopRouterPro is right for your shop before upgrading to Pro.
Do I need to install any software?
No installation required! ShopRouterPro is a web-based application that runs entirely in your browser. Just sign up and start using it immediately from any device with internet access.
Can multiple people use ShopRouterPro at the same time?
Yes! The Pro plan includes unlimited team members. You can invite users, set their permissions (what they can view and edit), and collaborate in real-time. The free plan is limited to 1 user.
What is a Traveler?
A Traveler is a printed document that follows a job through your shop floor. It shows all the operations, materials needed, work instructions, and includes sign-off boxes for each step. ShopRouterPro generates professional, print-ready travelers from your work orders.
Does ShopRouterPro track inventory?
No. ShopRouterPro focuses specifically on routing, work orders, and travelers - doing these things exceptionally well. We intentionally don't include inventory tracking, accounting, or sales orders. This keeps the software simple and affordable while solving the specific problem of manufacturing documentation.
Can I manage outside processes and purchase orders?
Yes! You can create Purchase Orders for outside process operations (like plating, heat treating, painting) and track vendor information. This makes it easy to coordinate with your suppliers.
Is my data secure and backed up?
Yes. All data is stored securely in the cloud with automatic backups. Your information is encrypted and protected. We use industry-standard security practices to keep your manufacturing data safe.
Can I export my travelers to PDF?
Yes! You can export any traveler to PDF format for printing or digital distribution. The PDF maintains professional formatting and includes all operation details, materials, and sign-off sections.
What if I need help or have questions?
Pro plan subscribers get priority support via email. We also have comprehensive help documentation built into the app under your Account page. For feature requests or bug reports, you can contact us through the support section.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your billing period, and you won't be charged again.
Do you offer annual pricing?
Yes! Our annual plan is $990/year, which saves you $198 compared to paying monthly ($99/month × 12 = $1,188).
Is ShopRouterPro suitable for aerospace or AS9100 shops?
